The Hampton Nautical Boatswain's Pipe  (pronounced "bosun's") is one of the oldest and most distinctive pieces  of nautical equipment. The boatswain's pipe, whistle, or flute, was used  in Greece and Rome to keep the stroke of galley slaves.
